Company Bio:
Rebecca Johnson and Annie Mebane are life long friends who met playing four square in the parking lot of their suburban middle school in Wellington, FL. Throughout high school they wrote, performed, and produced together. Now that they are all grown-up, Rebecca and Annie have developed their own original comedy series, Assisting Vanity, and are constantly collaborating on new projects together. Little Ventures Productions was officially formed in 2005. Their production of She Always Told Me received rave reviews, including a Go! from LAWeekly. Their webisode series "Easy Bake Lovin'" premiered in February of 2007. Rebecca and Annie can be seen gawking at US Weekly together at various vegan/raw haunts around town.
Rebecca Johnson:
Rebecca Johnson began her professional acting career at 19 in the theaters of NYC. She soon landed the lead role in The Tinsley Bumble Show, a comedy series for the Women's Entertainment Channel. Not long after the show wrapped, Rebecca decided to make the journey westward to Los Angeles where, together with her best friend and writing partner Annie Mebane, she started Little Ventures Productions. Their first little venture, She Always Told Me, an original one-act play written by Mebane, ran for a successful 15 weeks to critical acclaim. Between penning a sitcom with Mebane titled Assisting Vanity (based on her years as a celebrity assistant in NYC), booking guest roles on series like NBC's Las Vegas, shooting a co-starring role in an independent feature and baking cheesecakes, Rebecca keeps herself constantly in motion. She is realizing her life's dream of becoming a working actor. She can currently been seen starring in the LVP produced Easy Bake Lovin', a comedy web series about single gal Piper cooking her way to love and will also be hitting the LA stage once again, co-starring in Zanna Don’t in July, premiering at the West Coast Ensemble Theatre. |
